USS Bowfin Paper Note
As I was traveling in Hawaii, I stopped by the Pearl Harbor Museum. While there, I toured the USS Bowfin. The Bowfin was direct response to the attack on Pearl Harbor which is eveident from it's name "Pearl Harbor Avenger" Here is a note that written to "All Hands..." http://www.navy.mil/navydata/cno/n87/usw/issue_33/bowfin.html
Tree Branch Covered in Ice - Close Up
I captured this photo after an ice storm came through the Cleveland area. The storm provided some great picture opportunities that I was able to capture the following day including this tree branch coated in ice!

The Lonely Cypress
When I was traveling to California I made it a point travel along the gorgeous 17 Mile Drive near Carmel by the Sea. There were many attractions on the drive including otters, sea lions and of course the infamous Lonely Cypress Tree
Bear Mountain
This black & white picture is of "Bear Mountain" located in the beautiful Glacier National Park. Captured with a weather system moving in allowed this image to include clouds beginning to engulf the mountain.
Mount Adams From The Wonderland Trail After Panhandle Gap, Portrait
On our way to the Indian Bar campsite we crossed over the Panhandle Gap. On our way we were able to see some great views of Mount Adams.

Sunset In Pacific Grove with Birds & Plane
When I was traveling to Monterey, California I spent a lot of time just walking around the city, Pacific Grove and the sand dunes in the area. Here is a shot of a beautiful, golden sunset in Pacific Grove! I was lucky enough to capture a plane flying overhead and a flock of birds at the same time in this shot!

While on a trip to Hawaii I was able to capture this unique Hawaiian sunset! I decided to use a longer speed to show the motion of the clouds. I think it turned out pretty well!
Unicoi Gap On The Appalachian Trail (Black & White)
As I was hiking a segment of the Appalachian Trail we ended at Unicoi Gap. It was a hard trek for me as it was one of my first week long backpacking trips so making it to the "finish line" was a welcome sight!
Birds in Nest
This mother bird and two of her nestlings decided to take up residence in a small tree directly outside my window! Their choice of residency availed itself to some great photographic opportunities without the birds flying away. That mother bird has some real courage! I was only a couple feet away from her with the camera and she wouldn't even budge - she was busy protecting her babies!

Cleveland Winter Sunrise on Frozen Lake Erie
One chilly, wintery morning I was crazy enough, stupid enough or genius enough*?-?-?* to go out into the blustery cold and take this photo of the beautiful and magnificent sunrise over Cleveland, Ohio! To be honest, it actually wasn't that cold this particular morning. It was probably in the 40s. And it wasn't even that early. I think the sunrise was at 7:45am. That's early, but not, "crazy early." At least in my estimation. It was the 3rd day in a row where it was in the 40s and 50s so I was a little nervous about the ice breaking, but I'm here typing this so don't worry, I didn't die. Thank you for your concern.
Calm, Misty Lake with Pier and Boats (Wide Shot of Pier)
While on a trip up to Big Bass Lake, Michigan spending time with friends, fishing, having bonfires and what not, I was able to take this beautiful sunrise photo! I really love how the pier and boats were so still in the water.
