Taj Mahal Doorway - Black & White
I was on tour with MegaDeth during their 2012 "Countdown to Extinction" tour. We had a stop over in New Dehli, India and had a chance to see a few sights. The Taj Mahal being one of them! I'm not usually super impressed by buildings and such but this one takes the cake! It really is magnificent.

When I was traveling to Monterey, California I discovered the "Monarch Grove Butterfly Sanctuary" in Pacific Grove. This is a "resting place" in the eucalyptus grove for the butterflies as they make their journey towards warmer climates!

While on a trip up to Big Bass Lake, Michigan spending time with friends, fishing, having bonfires and what not, I was able to take this beautiful sunrise photo! I really love how the pier and boats were so still in the water.

Lightning Strike
This photo won a "Best Image of the Week Award" for being in the top 20% on Pixoto.com. While I was out at a cabin for a weekend a storm came rolling in on our position and while it was still off in the distance I was able to capture this lightning strike!

Alcatraz Prison (The Rock)
A photo of the infamous prison in San Franciso! I was walking all along the beach that day getting the best shot I could from the main land. All I could think of was Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage from the movie "The Rock". That was a great movie for its time!
Profile of Lion Statue on Lion\\\'s Bridge
When I was visiting friends in Virginia this past summer we made it a point to see some of the historical sites in the area. One of which included the Mariner's Museum. This is an image of 1 of the 4 Lion Statues on the bridge, which is really a dam that creates Lake Maury and provides a great view of the James River.

This statue is 1 of 4 statues representing Science, Art, Learning & Industry encircling the "Conquering The Wild Statue" found near the Lion's Bridge, a part of the Mariner's Museum in Virginia.

Rocks in the Stream
This photo won a "Best Image of the Week Award" for being in the top 10% on Pixoto.com. I took this photo as I was hiking the John Muir Trial in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. I didn't chronicle the name of this river but I do know that it is on the northern section of the JMT. It was a fantastic trip and I would love to be able to spend more time out there to take pictures.

I took this photo of Mount Rainier on our approach to Panhandle Gap. There was a cold breeze and fresh snow on the ground. We were warm when we were walking, but as soon as we stopped for a drink or rest, we became cold. Quickly.

Mount Rainier as seen from Spray Park Trail Meadows
After we left Mowich Lake Campground, my buddy and I decided to take the Spray Park trail instead of the Wonderland Trail Proper. I read in Bette Filley's book, "Discovering The Wonders of the Wonderland Trail" that Spray Park offers some magnificent views of Rainier whereas the Wonderland Trail is more forested and covered. The only catch is that if it's bad weather, Spray Park is absolutely miserable as there is no cover and it's the highest point on the trail. Thankfully we lucked out and had blue skies and great views! Here is a photo of Rainier from the eastern part of the Spray Park Trail Meadows.
