Canyon and Pillars on the Kolob Canyon Trail - Black & White
This is a photo near the start of the trailhead for the Kolob Canyon Trail in Zion National Park. The trail was a beautiful and pleasant 14 mile round trip. My hiking buddy Caleb and I hiked it together and saw the Koleb Arch near the half way point. Interestingly, I noticed the terrain changed quite a bit as we descened. It started off as I expected,... rocky. Their were large sections, however that were quite sandy. That slowed us down a little bit, but not too much. I just didn't expect it! Here are some links to more articles and and hiking info about the Koleb Canyon Trail, Koleb Arch, other hiking trails in Zion National Park and a Map of Zion National Park.
