Abandoned Farming Equipment on the West Rim Trail in Zion National Park
This is a photo of abandoned farming equipment on the West Rim Trail in Zion National Park. This was near or on our way to the Lava Point Overlook. I thought it was so strange that this abandoned piece of farming equipment was still here. I'm not sure weather to call it a tractor, a cart, a tiller or a plow but I do wonder at it's story! Who left it behind and why? What did they farm with it and what was life like during the time of it's use? I'm imagining and hoping it was simpler life (yet probably more difficult life speaking of a labor intensive period of time). I hoping it was used in a time where people were more connected to the land and beauty around them in the every day!
