Winner of Earthshots Photo of the Day in March 2012! I took this photo during a backpacking excursion through Glacier National Park located in northern Montana, I was able to capture these trees on the bank of this slow moving river. I like this photo because it has a "cool" yet "eerie" feel to it, due to the tallest & apparently dying pine, leaning over the river.
On our way along the 17 Mile Drive to Carmel by the Sea there was quite a bit of wildlife! Their were a lot of birds sitting on rocks like this one pictured here. I believe they are called Cormorants.
